Restyled Table

I found a little table in the deep recesses of the thrift store!  It had been covered in mismatched paint and hidden from view underneath several layers of clothing and accessories!
"Why?", you ask.

Because in this thrifty, the little table was being used in... a make-shift dressing room area!
Next to it was a mirror and chair!

Very convenient! And very lucky for me because no one, and I mean NO ONE, was looking under all that stuff for tables!  No one but me, that is!!

I grabbed that little cutie up, slapped it in the buggy, and headed to the check-out!

Along the way many stopped me to ask where I had found the little table!
Or the all important question, was I going to buy that!

Well I managed to get it in the car without further questions!!

On the way home the wheels were turning in my brain... what to do, what to do!
I really like the stained wood top look  mixed with shabby paint, but really this one was beyond saving for stain!  Unless I spent way more time on the make-over than I wanted to spend!
So it was decided... PAINT!!

A lovely shade of vanilla ivory was used.   It was okay, clean, serviceable, did I say just okay!
Not happy, not happy...still looking for that stained wood look...

sooooo..
I painted the top in a rich deep chocolate color!!
(Did y'all notice my use of candy colors?  Yes, the niece and nephew have been visiting!)

Now I'm happy!  After a little distressing, waxing and buffing, the 'cutie' is ready for her debut!

What have you restyled lately?

Have a Blessed Day!!  And see ya down the junkin' road!!

Well I haven't restyled a thing but I'm loving your table. The two tone look is a winner. I haven't been to my Goodwill since summer. You've inspired me to perhaps stop in and see what I can find!
