And if you've been reading my blog for very long y'all know I have a very handy hubby!
(Yes, Yes, I know I'm very lucky for more than one reason!!)
Anyway...the hubby took this pile of wood and worked his magic...
That's right! Not one but two, 2, 2, 2...(echo, echo!!) handcrafted tables!
The hubby is always on the look out for old lumber to reuse for his projects.
This table will look great as a coffee table or even as a bench...
He used a special mixture (only he knows!) of stains to achieve the color he wanted...
The second one is a tall table...
He sealed the boards...
...still the rustic look...
Remember from a pile of discarded boards...
recycle, reuse, refinish...RECLAIM
Share a little inspiration too...
See ya down the junkin' road!!

P.S. I love old wood!!!
Who doesn't love a handy hubby? While mine doesn't build, he's an all-purpose-fixer-upper. (We should keep our husbands, yes?) My grandfather was great at building. Oh the stories I hear from my mother... :)
So great to reuse stuff! My personal fave is acquiring old furniture and giving it new life.
This is so lovely! I wish I was better with tools :(
Of course I'm following!
All the best :)
(Thanks for stopping by.)
Those look great! Good work!
What a lucky lady to have such a handy husband! I love your tables!
Wow, do you have any boards left over? Cause If you do I sure hope you send them my way. Love both your tables, and the stain is quite beautiful. Your pretty lucky to have your hubs, just don't tell him to much so he gets a "big" head. Thanks so much for sharing your creative inspiration at Sunday's Best!
Great looking tables and wonderful way to upcycle Jane!
My sweet hubby "thinks" he can do just about anything, but I always worry when he goes to building something:) He did, however, make gingerbread trim for our porch which turned out really pretty...and saved us a ton of $$$! You have so many creative ideas. I love it when people recycle!
Jan,
Your Blog looks great Friend!! Thanks for your comments on my Blog! They make me Smile.
Have a wonderful week,
xxx Liz
Talented husband. Beautiful tables.

I love your tables! Very rustic farmhouse and you are lucky to have such a handy husband. I happen to have one also and couldn't do what I do without him. Thanks for coming by my blog and leaving kind words.
JAN!
Your husband did a great job on them!
I know you will enjoy them, Lee made me a blanket chest years ago, it sits at the foot of our bed and I smile almost every time I walk past it :)
Oh to have a husband who can help you with your projects! I am the handy one in the family but my talents don't apply to any type of woodworking projects. Your new tables look great. Up-cycling in always a good thing. We carry a unique line of furniture in our stores that uses wood from old buildings. We were
"green" before it was popular!
I love the tables and the fact that they are recycled. So lucky that you have a handy hubby!
Lucky you! They look great. I love furniture made out of recycled wood. It has so much character.
My Hubby is super handy but I can't keep him home long enough to get much done! Although he DID paint with me all day on Superbowl Sunday so I guess I'll keep him. ;) XO Cindy
Jan, my husband and I have started looking for old discarded lumber. We're going to use it to use as rustic open beams in our cottage cabin. I just love the tables your husband made out of the lumber finds. Thanks for sharing and inspiring!
Thank you for your sweet comments! Now I'm all geared up for going out and searching for more old lumber!! Have a blessed day.
Great tables! Yes you are lucky to have a handy husband. Will look forward to more thing made from old wood.
They look great! You are very lucky to have a handy husband~mine's handy in spurts!
