A DIY Project and Thank You

First things first...THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!
Why you ask?
Because I'm gettin' sooooo many friends lately and visitors to my little blog!
And on this V-DAY EVE I want to share the love and say a big THANK YOU!!
(buster brown)

Now for a little maintenance...if you have friended me and I have not returned the friendship please, PLEASE, leave a note and I will, promise, no hesitation!
I try to visit all who drop by but I'm afraid I've missed some very important people!
VIPs are most important!  Between the Google Friends and the new LINKY Followers it is keeping me very busy just trying to keep up with all the new gadgets and thingys!!

And for my DIY project...
I am so excited to share this today. Y'all know my love for chalkboard paint...and you can read about it here,  Wow, Thrifty Showoffs

(southernjunkin.blogsspot.com)

( This is very funny because throughout my teaching years I was extremely allergic to chalk dust and no one person in our school system was more excited than me when we started using less chalk and more electronic devices!! )

(southernjunkin.blogspot.com)

Recently, my friend and me were shopping one of our favorite haunts and located several clipboards.  At the time I did not have a clue as to how I would use these... but the price was right and so into the bag they went!
Last week with chalkboard paint already mixed and ready to use I pulled these four boards out of storage! Slapped on some paint...and voila...

The boards looked a little 'plain'... so with burlap (another favorite) on hand... I fashioned bows...

A button was added to each bow...

Can you say...Pleased as Punch with the outcome!!

Off to the 'space' to add another touch of whimsy...

Partying today with friends... Drop by to visit and share all the fun!

See ya down the junkin' road!!

Jan

I love how you added the flowers and buttons to your chalk board painted clip boards. I have a couple old clip boards somewhere that I meant to do that to, but somehow they are lost in my stuff.
Thanks for stopping by and your nice comment.

Cute, cute Jan! Did I mention that I just happen to have a quart of chalkboard paint? I needed to touch up my kitchen chalkboard. When I had to buy a whold quart hubby said, "What you gonna do with all of that paint?" Oh, don't you worry, I'll find something. Now I just need to find a few clipboards. Love the flower. I too love burlap!
Hugs,
Jann
